So what is Royal Ascot?:
Royal Ascot is England's premier race meet of the season sort of like Saratoga, or Del Mar, but condensed into 4 days.


How the heck did you get into the Royal enclosure?
Actually you have to apply to the US Embassy in London and you need a letter of recommendation from " a Senator, congressman or a professional person of any nationality (e.g doctor, lawyer) or one who holds a position of responsibility in your local community or local government, where you reside". We got a friend of my father's who runs a foundation in Washington DC and holds an endowed chair at Tufts.
